Donate your time to help staff the Festival. Volunteers greet guests, guide visitors along the VIC trails, help vendors set up, and keep the day running smoothly. Become a Volunteer

Become a volunteer at the Adirondack Nature Festival for People with Disabilities.

The Festival will require many volunteers with a variety of skill sets to ensure that vendors receive the help they need to set up, that guests are greeted and properly guided through the VIC trail system, and to ensure the health and well being of everyone involved.

Volunteers will receive a free Festival volunteer T-Shirt, and lunch.

A virtual training/orientation will be required prior to the event to familiarize volunteers with the event, its location, and their various spheres of responsibility

No experience is needed for most roles. You can help with setup and breakdown, greet guests, guide visitors as part of trail patrol, assist vendors, run errands, or lend a hand wherever you are needed. Volunteers with current first aid and CPR certification are also welcome to help keep everyone safe.

Volunteers are a very important part of making the festival a success. We need help in a variety of areas.

Our volunteer categories include:

  1. Setup and Breakdown – Laying out tables and chairs, hanging decorations and signage, unpacking and setting up equipment, and preparing and cleaning the festival grounds.
  2. Parking Attendant – Guiding vendors, and guests to accessible locations, offload and onload points.
  3. Greeter – Meet vendors and guests at Festival entry points, warmly greeting them, and providing handouts and maps.
  4. Trail Guide – Stationed at trail heads of the trail system to assist in trail navigation.
  5. Merchandise and Raffle Ticket Sales – Selling of merchandise and raffle tickets.
  6. Vendor Assistance – Signing in pre-registered vendors, and assiting vendors in locating their assigned vendor space.
  7. Social Media – Will be required to post to social media before, during, and after the event.
  8. Runner/Floater – Goes where needed to fill rotation or other gaps in other volunteer areas.
  9. First Aid – Requires valid OSHA compliant Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED, or equal certification.

Volunteers are the heart of the Festival, and we could not welcome our guests without you. Use this application to tell us how you would like to help. Start by choosing one or more volunteer categories, such as Setup and Breakdown, Greeter, Trail Patrol, Vendor Assistance, or First Aid. Then share your contact information and pick the shift that works best for you: morning, afternoon, either one, or the whole day. If you choose First Aid, please be ready to upload a copy of your current first aid, CPR, and AED certification. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Which volunteer categories are you interested in? - The volunteer information form will appear once you select a volunteer category. You can pick more than one. First aid volunteers must have the appropriate, valid certifications.
